The sprinkler caps are placed over the lighting fixtures to provide fire resistance to the (fire resistant) ceiling.
The fire hood is designed to provide maximum fire protection for openings for ceiling spotlights. In addition, attention has been paid to a very simple installation. In the event of a fire, the fire hood expands inward, filling the available space with a fire-resistant, highly insulating carbon mass. The smoke and fire cannot penetrate through the ceiling opening. The fire hood thus provides additional insulation protection for the empty space in the ceiling. This prevents combustible materials such as dust particles and insulating material from igniting due to overheating.
