MEET THE FAMILY | Sander Ermes

Who is Sander?

I am Sander, 31 years old and live in Zundert. In my spare time I enjoy building our wagon for the Flower Parade in Zundert, indoor soccer twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, and occasionally gaming with my colleague Kevin on the weekends. After finishing my VMBO, I ended up in the logistics sector.

How did you end up at HANKO?

I received a phone call asking if I wanted to come to HANKO for a trial day. I liked that trial day immediately and after some good discussions with Tim van Gastel and my colleagues in the warehouse, I joined HANKO!

What is your job at HANKO?

Since 2017, I have been a warehouse employee at our Breda facility where I am responsible for unloading, loading, picking orders and preparing orders for shipment. 

What makes the work so enjoyable for you?

My great colleagues who always help each other and are there for each other. The variety of work is also a plus, otherwise you are just doing the same thing all day... During the break we often play darts and I must say that I win quite often!

Where does your strength lie?

I keep a cool head and put my shoulders to the wheel when I have to. I feel at home in logistics so I really enjoy my work. 

What does the HANKO-FAMILY mean to you?

The atmosphere among ourselves is always good, you can talk to anyone if you have problems or are worried about something. Everyone is always there for each other and that contributes to a great working atmosphere here at the office and in the warehouse. From the first moment you feel that you are appreciated, I immediately felt at home in the HANKO-FAMILY!

What does DEDICATION FOR INSULATION mean to you?

Being ready for everyone and making sure that everything goes out the door to our customers neat, tidy and on time. Time is important in our industry so we do everything we can to help our customers with this. We think in terms of possibilities and solutions, nothing is too crazy for us!
