MEET THE FAMILY | Patrick Vos
Who is Patrick?
42 Years old, born and raised in Numansdorp (South Holland). Meanwhile 18 years living in the beautiful Brabant (Rijen). Father of a 10-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son.
In my youth I played korfball, football and badminton with a lot of passion. In recent years I have mainly been involved in running, mountain biking and fitness.
In addition, in my spare time I like to go out for a nice meal, take a city trip, go to the movies, invest in stocks and crypto's and of course enjoy doing fun activities with my children such as swimming, bowling and climbing. I also enjoy going to watch and support my children in their sports.
How did you end up at HANKO?
A year and a half ago I was looking for a job and I saw the vacancy for my current position on Indeed. The vacancy text immediately appealed to me and after visiting HANKO's website I decided to apply immediately. A few hours later Marijn van Gastel called me and we had a pleasant conversation. What followed was an extensive application procedure with two introductory interviews, an assessment and checking of references.
All this resulted in the opportunity to start at HANKO, for which I am very grateful to Marijn, Tim and Sjoerd van Gastel. To this day I am very happy that I seized this opportunity with both hands.
What is your position at HANKO?
My job is Financial Manager, a nice broad position where I am responsible for the administration, human resources, ICT and ensuring the quality of all business processes within HANKO.
In this position, I have the pleasure of managing three enthusiastic and driven colleagues, working together and forming the administration department. Together we really are a good team and motivate each other to get the best out of each other.
What makes the work so enjoyable for you?
What I like most about my job is that it involves many different tasks in several different areas; this variety gives me continuous energy. This in combination with great colleagues makes it a great job for me!
Where does your strength lie?
My strength lies in being flexible and having a helicopter view. This helps me enormously to understand what my colleagues and various departments have to deal with and can come up against. In this way I can think along and suggest possibilities, so that together with my colleagues I can make progress and create solutions for the challenges that we face within HANKO.
What does the HANKO-FAMILY mean to you?
The HANKO-FAMILY means a lot to me, from the first moment I felt welcome and appreciated. All colleagues are genuinely interested in each other, help and are there for you when you need it. Together we make every day a party! We work hard but we also laugh and have fun. I am very happy to be part of the HANKO-FAMILY.
What does "Dedication for Insulation" mean to you?
"Dedication for Insulation" means to me: being involved with my colleagues and relations in the broadest sense of HANKO. Always being available, thinking in terms of possibilities and solutions, and of course being there for each other. With this attitude, the HANKO-FAMILY definitely makes the difference for our customers!
