Who is Tahsin
I am Tahsin, 32 years old, living in Tilburg together with my wife Esra and little one aged 2. Besides being an account manager at HANKO, I am also a part-time artist! I have stopped performing for a while now to spend more time with family. However, I still release music regularly!
All through my youth, I played football at a high level until about five years ago. Then made the choice to put full focus on music as a hobby. Football is still very important in my life though! I follow the Turkish league closely and encourage my favourite team, Fenerbahçe, every match.
How did you end up at HANKO?
A few years ago, I did have interviews at HANKO. In the end, I then made the choice to join another employer. The contact with HANKO has always remained good afterwards: at the beginning of 2022, I made the switch from a wholesaler in finishing materials to HANKO!
What is your position at HANKO?
I am a sales representative within HANKO's sales team. Since I started at HANKO, I took on the Fireproofing segment. After this, I was soon called 'HANKO's fireman'.
What makes the work so fun for you?
The versatility! One moment I can be working with sheet materials, the next moment a customer can call me with a nice request for fireproofing material.... Every day is another challenge because you deal with different types of customers. I also manage the Turkish market within the Benelux. Every day is different: one day you are on the road all day, the next day you are entering orders at the office and together with your customer you realise a nice project, taken care of from A to Z.
Where does your strength lie?
I think taking care of the Turkish market. I speak the language fluently and I get on well with my customers. The flexibility, I can literally be reached 24/7, nothing is too crazy and together we always work it out!
What does the Hanko Family mean to you?
The name says it all: one family. When I first came here it was always very spontaneous, from the office staff to the management. The lines are short and you can talk to anyone about anything. The family atmosphere definitely appeals to me!
What does DEDICATION FOR INSULATION mean to you?
I have enjoyed working within the insulation industry for many years. Since joining HANKO, I have also had the opportunity to learn about different types of metals and their sales. It just makes me feel good when we can realise a nice project (small or large) together with a customer! If the customer is satisfied, so am I!
